Aston Swann Courseware
Significantly contributes to

Courseware Design

  • Tutor led, personal learning or electronically managed environment
  • Learning in the live application creating real documents.
  • Candidates produce useful documents, presentations, spreadsheets and databases with interactive, relevant and engaging exercises
  • Themed tasks – in manageable byte sized chunks – cover one or more syllabus items in a way that is engaging to candidates making this a learning in context experience.
  • Ideal preparation for the BCS Improving Productivity Unit and Exam.
  • Improving Productivity Unit: The format also empowers UK learners working towards their Improving Productivity unit, where they have to create meaningful documents in an efficient way. Tests are based on the most effective use of ECDL skills, applied to a simulated work environment. The creation of real documents whilst learning syllabus skills, helps to prepare candidates for these tests.

Courseware Layout
Each Module is divided into Examples. Each Example contains Exercises, which are byte size learning chunks to cover one or more syllabus task items.

Examples and Exercises can be used and printed individually, or as a total module.
Each Example contains its own:

  • Table of Contents
  • Index – showing which syllabus task items have been covered in the Example
  • Pedagogical Exercises with easy to follow instructions
